Shades of Serenity: A Garden Gathering to Celebrate Dad

There’s something truly special about a garden—especially one rooted in love, family, and the quiet magic of nature.

That’s exactly what you’ll find at The Sacred Garden in Dickson, TN. It’s more than a garden; it’s a living story carefully grown by my sister, her husband Mitch, and their daughter. This land has been tended with purpose and passion for years—and now, they’re inviting the community to experience a piece of its peace.

On Saturday, June 14th from 12pm–2pm, they’re opening the gate for a heartfelt event called Shades of Serenity: Garden Tour and Workshop—just in time for Father’s Day weekend.

Led by Mitch Hampton, a seasoned landscape professional with over 20 years of experience, the event offers guests a relaxing tour through their beautifully designed shade gardens. Along the way, Mitch will share simple, soulful tips on how to bring serenity to your own outdoor spaces—whether you have a sprawling backyard or a humble patio.

But there’s more than just greenery waiting to be explored…

A Touch of Father’s Day Magic

In honor of dads, the garden will be filled with hand-painted rocks, each one featuring a heartfelt “Dad Saying” like “My Dad Rocks!” Families are encouraged to search for one and either gift it to someone special or take it home as a memento of the day.

This activity is a gentle way to reflect, share stories, and create new memories together—something simple yet profound.

Suggested Donation: $5–$10 per person
